LABOR AND LASER OPERATOR
Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Labor and Laser Operator to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2yrs Laser experience and will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to meet production specifications. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Essential Functions:
Laser Cutting Operations: Set up and operate laser cutting machines to meet production specifications. Ensure the laser beam focal point is properly adjusted for optimal cutting performance.
Set-Up & Calibration: Establish proper stop locations and make necessary adjustments for accurate cutting operations.
Quality Control: Inspect materials and detect any defects or questionable conditions. Report any issues promptly to the department supervisor to maintain production quality.
Physical Demands: This is a physically active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing throughout the day.
Lifting & Handling: Frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds as part of your daily tasks.
Vision Requirements: Must meet specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 yrs Laser experience. Experience with metals is a plus.
Technical Skills: Ability to make proper set-ups for laser cutting operations and adjust laser focal points. Basic computer literacy is required for operating machinery and recording data.
Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cutting operations and quality of materials.
